# Rewrite your field notes in one click with Daxium AI

Daxium AI corrects and clarifies what users type in a text field, in one click, on the web and on mobile.

**Published on October 15, 2026**

**New feature: Daxium AI can now rewrite the content of a text field.**

Field notes are often typed quickly, on a phone, standing next to the equipment. They end up full of typos and shorthand that the office then has to decipher, and that go as they are into your reports.

With text rewriting, users tap the sparkle icon in a text field and Daxium AI corrects the grammar and spelling and makes the text clearer. The meaning stays the same, and so does the language: a note written in French stays in French.

**1. Choose the fields that offer it.** In the form builder, select a text field and tick **Allow AI text improvement**. The option is set field by field, so you decide where it makes sense. It is not available on text fields with the **Rich text** option.

**2. Type, then rewrite.** Once the field contains more than 10 characters, the sparkle icon appears. One click or tap rewrites the whole content of the field.

**3. Keep the version you prefer.** On the web, the rewritten text replaces the content of the field, and a button restores the original if the result does not suit you. On mobile, the rewritten text is shown as a proposal that you accept or reject.

**Rewritten texts are flagged.** A text rewritten by Daxium AI is flagged as optimized by AI in the submission, so readers know where it came from.

**Mobile app versions.** Text rewriting requires version 3.1.2 or later on Android and 2.6.4 or later on iOS.

Available on: **Web**, **Mobile**

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://www.center.daxium-air.com/news/october-2026/text-rewriting.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
